Chemotherapy

A Poem by Wraith.

A final note
Can I get something to help with the pain.
Thoughts, anxieties wound up
Arduous to think straight

Overcome with exhaustion,
I wade in words trying to go back and erase my mistakes
There is not enough time
No comfort in numbness
Apprehensive and absent

despondency hits
willpower could fail me
Forgotten how the hands of the sun rested upon my shoulders
The laughter of summers gone echo to the present
I see a boy run across the grass
Mindless and contented

I spent the day with you
It was a perfect day

Motion stills
Love has drained me and been traced back to those I hold dear
making their sadness so much more poignant
Momentary hesitation
Before I eclipse

----------------------------

The sun comes up
You are cold
A half smoked pack of cigarettes
Well worn slippers
The day is flat and weather less
Carried away your belongings
with a heavy heart

this is riveting...and oh such sadness fills the page---
