Sunshine

Sunshine

A Poem by Wraith.

Luminous sunflowers and mustard skies
the sink overflowed
collecting the flies
scraps of porclain
Our lord has turned insane

Like it. Very tactile. Visual.
very yellow opening.
It almost feels like a still life to me in its economy and simplicity.

The last line kinda through me for a loop, but I like the contrast of sunflower, skies and sink, flies. From the grandeur to the mundane. Also appreciate the subtle off-rhyme of porcelain" and "insane".

wow i love when poets use non-poetic things and turns them poetic...
the sink, the flies, the scraps of porcelain ...yes, i think sometimes the Lord is a bit insane and laughing loudly up there.
