A Poem by Wraith.

The sun has turned to black
yes he has turned his back, on me
I Just want to dissolve in acid
and have my mind blown away
Under the scatter of cold wind
will the mountains shelter me
Turn my mind to black
Let lucidity take its course
I want to blaze up in the nothingness
Feel my skin turn raw

So much vitriol for the world, and not necessarily the external world, the world many, many others love and cherish, but the internal world that sits and shakes within the poet... acknowledging the beauty of the world, the sun's original state, for example, it is the human in you yearning to live, but to see and feel the sun in your inner world turn black, it is the growth of an internal suffering and affliction... the sun is your mind; a beautiful warm place in it's own right, now turned to a cold sort of black... to a nothingness full of many-things... leaving you feeling raw, from head to toe, from inside to out, from heart to skin...

I read this and thought of liquidity. At times through thoughts or through the journey of feelings which may or may not unsettle us we become "hardened" it is a common word. The absense of light I took it as the end of relating and the beggining of distancing. As the challenge is disturbing of course dissolution would be convinient but I guess you know it won't just go away. The thoughts hunt you so you wish for nothigness as your skin hardends.

We need a thick skin at times.

Intense moments.

Thank you.

I like how the title contrasts with the unraveling of the voice.
It reminds me of that Radiohead song "How to disappear completey" and I feel like that's what's going on here.
"I want to dissolve in acid" brings to mind murdered corpses dissolving in vats/tubs of acid, which seems like a somewhat gruesome way to vanish.
"blaze up in nothingness" follows that sentiment,
however, in l.a. "blaze" also refers to smoking weed, which maybe gives it a different meaning, esp when "lucidity" is introduced).

Anyhow, it was an interesting read. Maybe Joy Division inspired? hmmm
