Splinters

Splinters

A Poem by Wraith.

The desire to live so a thousand lives
Depraved, wicked and lower than last
Caught me up in a tangled web
The blackened tears of thread a winding womb
Each thought sticks to me like a splinter
Notions wound into skin
From head to toe I have been showered in thousands of little darts
That rip and pierce into the Milky Way of swirling flesh
The will to unleash the most darkest inner thoughts
But they are guarded well

Reduced from Woman to Spider, emotions sticking like a splinter, dark inner thoughts guarded for fear of them being abused by outsiders. When you're feeling so small, every that hurts is magnified...

really like the splinter idea...they are damn hard to get out sometimes...and then the infection...
like when we are splintered with dark thoughts, infected with them...
and they are really guarded well, just like we become guarded because of them
nice metaphor and play on words here.
