I hear voices

I hear voices

A Poem by Wraith.

Intrepid murmur gently hanging on the whir of a bathroom light
From monotone to uneven drone
Then racing and coiling over the skin
Sharp thoughtless words, but it is only me
Like a silent snag a bite from below
I'm enclosed in walls but flight takes flow
raindrops and pianos they only want me dead
Cover the mirrors I can hear them speak
Whispering gently, lulling me sweet
Brain don't you invade
I hear voices, they leave no choices
I know now what to do.

"I hear voices, they leave no choices... I know now what to do..." What an ending! And you've left us wondering as our mind continues wandering. Excellent.

i feel there is a battle going on inside the speaker....in the bathroom, debating whether to kill herself...that whir of the bathroom light....the idea of whether to extinguish the one inside us...
it's tough dealing with those voices....

I find this poem very 'intriguing'. Like a labyrinth of light clues leading to different corners but still keeping with the same point at the same time. The rhyming is present but faint which gives it a unique touch as well. Also I always love mental exploration poems. Job well done.
