Remains

Remains

A Poem by Wraith.

Humans depict melancholy in their stoicism
Photographs fading slowly in a sepulcher
drafted into exposure which serves only to solidify
Flesh that has eroded yet ripe under dust
Do I provoke intimacy under my chemical skin
Staring out unbeknownst
Does part of me still stir within the picture
I think not, I think I have lost
the relevance only sought after due to loss
cathartic to inhale the distant memories
No physical remains, charred bones and visions

you know what i think, Wraith?

at least sometimes...

my poems contain my emotions...but i no longer feel them first...it is like they bypass me...and go straight to the poems.

they are the photographs of my life...and the only way to understand or remember what and how i felt once...is to reread them.
