Plainfield Butcher

Plainfield Butcher

A Poem by Wraith.

Tarnished with delusions of a raving Lutheran
umbilical cord wound into mental ligatures
Socially inept and violated by solitude
startled flesh bound to brood
Henry awoke to life beyond the tainted farmstead
Seared alive there was no immediate justice
Though fraught with undeniable evidence
Rife in misandry and seething with bitterness
perhaps such a will to be godly sent her to an early death
The seeds of his grievance transcend into madness
Abandoned by his only bond and idol
Blinded still by her infectious dogmas
He hastily walked back and forth from the graveyard
Scanning the paper to observe the obituary
digging up deceased to flay their fresh corpses
and strut around in creations he'd so carefully adorned
a desperate attempt to merge to his mother
A womans cadaver reflecting straight at him
while he madly hacked and upholstered his belongings
his mothers ramblings instilled powering the wronging

Unfinished.

This is very suitably macabre and horrific. Fantastic writing, such great language within this piece that make it stand out. Great stuff! :)

this is like a really good horror movie all packed into a few lines of a really visual poem...

into the mind of a killer, what makes him tick, what caused the madness.

nicely done.
