Her Sabbath

Her Sabbath

A Poem by Wraith.

Mistress of this masterful sabbath
My black clouds have you shrouded
wisps of smoke are curling, billowing
climb the throne that once eluded
Lusting after my own mortality
this morbid distinction of fate
sworn to darkness, the oath of an aeon
The beasts begin to desecrate
The havoc i wreak will be eternal
No patience for such mindless sheep
Wolflike woman who shall reign infernal
I scour this land as it rots and turns bleak
Hypnotic chanting has you transfixed
wild silhouettes against the heat
Life and death? You hang betwixt
Chosen livestock of sacrificial meat
Ancient ritual we hail our prevailer
heavily cloaked in the midnight haze
blinded high and under such forces
No distractions can avert our daze
as the heavy beats transcend into night
the fire still burning but the night falling slower
I raise my chalice into the thick midnight air
Between licks of flames, my eyes do glower
