Summoning

Summoning

A Poem by Wraith.

Take me to the gate
archways dripping in lilies have forged my path
I have always been near
wandering this ancient womb
Though I fall in love with all I see
it fails me, for seeds ago it became a tomb
conceived beneath the structures of time
I am forewarned that there will be no return
but my will is already blind enough
and i have abandoned my cromlech
where once my spirit would wind away
this path has not been before so clear
interwoven streams glint as they catch the light
trees standing with faces so stern
As i hear the weight of rain,
the sky has wept to me a final time
I pass through the gate.

there is a really haunting quality to this piece...
sometimes life fails us, or we feel it does...we become disillusioned and our spirit becomes so stern we lose faith...
and only regain it when we pass through that gate.

really felt this one...the heavy imagery really works.
