philosophaster

philosophaster

A Poem by Wraith.

The all knowing of un-needed to be known
upon his rose tinged plastic throne
Important contributor of verbal defecation
the pinnacle of my pitiful humour
Illusory master who looks to his inferiors!
Basking obliviously in his ignorance
First to yell finish, yet slow in pursuit
Voice so loud and depth so minuscule
Relishing madly in his fake grandeur
Clouded by his deceptive theatrics
The source of my daily headache
The hypocrite on his hands and knees
who looks to others and cannot lead
concealed in his veil of shallow deciet
The great pretender ceased to be born!
Un-tailored mask that cannot quite hold
pseudo- intellect boasting away
claims true to his credit which he stole away
Devoid of devotion though will insist otherwise
Sure of a poised glance but eyes cannot hide
The deceiver will receive his comeuppance
a plee to his evaporating audience
left alone to brood with an incapable mind
storing information that renders him blind
Beyond comprehension leaves his head in his hands
His crowd has left without a sound.

An indictment gift wrapped in poetic form. It remembed me of some professors I knew and wish I hadn't. I especially appreciated the clever play-on words and throat-grabbing accusations. A truly excellent work that I thoroughly enjoyed.

It's neither possible, nor necessary to attempt to describe what’s obvious. Trying to do so is folly. Folly is our world’s most lucrative business; for this world's a ship of fools.

Perhaps the world truly spins about the subject... till the honest and the true take it in our hands and crush it to show how small they really are...
Little things, little thoughts, hidden in the conceits of "musing".
There's something breathless, angry and fierce in this one...
Great work, Wraith...

This is brave, honest and raw reality you have predicted in poem, I have to say...and feel honor saying; you're one wise writer and your work speak volumes. Great job...

Hugely appreciated as I barely view myself as a writer.
