Fake a smile, fake a laugh.
Let the tears fall behind their backs.
Grip the sheets,
It’s too much to bear.
Just want to run  your fingers through his hair.

See his photo, the longing returns.
Thinking of the memories, makes your heart burn.
They don’t know, no one ever will
Of the love you felt for him, and the hole he did fill.

‘Why did it have to end?’ is all that is asked by you
‘I was bored, and I never did love you’ is his response
So although you know your love was true,
You curl up and cry
As your heart dies.

So much for trust, it doesn’t exist.
So, unable to go on, you cut your wrist.
Never love another, they’ll just cause you pain.
It’s just as well when all you feel for men is disdain.

‘Love never fails’ oh what a lie
It should say ‘Loves makes you die’

Moving on, but now cold as can be.
Lose everyone you hold dear
For you can’t trust any.
You don’t care, you just wish he was still here.

You still love him, but keep it all in.
If he knew, you’d go through everything all over again.
Watch from afar, as you lose interest in all others,
You’ve become one of the longing dreamers.
