Scars

Scars

A Poem by Chance
"

Short poem

"
Light touches, fingers tracing the lines
Memories, a different place and time
Forever reminders of past feelings
Nothing more than a way of dealing
Judgment, comes from all
Knowing not the depths i fall
Frustration builds inside
Pressing wishes that id died
Ignorance to my pain
The struggle in my brain
They make it all worse
Their words are so terse
Snap out of it they say
I beg that i may
The scars always remind
How im left behind
To scratch and to fight
My internal plight
Please think of you twice
Your words cold as ice
That we all deal differently
And some of us show it permanently

It is bad enough when we are scarred by love...but when our friends scold us for being sad, it compounds the grief. And it reopens the wounds.

Some scars are deeper than others. Some are superficial, but others are long lasting. I felt this deeply. Well penned Chance
