Slang to Lame

Slang to Lame

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

Teary eyed is always I

A little strange for me to cry

What can I say when I’m lost

Lost for all hope has disappeared

Random words from slangish tongues

Not to me, but to anyone

Laughing laughter long and loud

Waiting and waiting, but not making a sound

A day where slang is gone is a day worth waiting

Called lame for not joining the gang

But hey all of that is okay

Whisper cruelly if you must

I’ll take it without a fuss

Called too many things for me to trust

I told you once not to cuss

I’m waiting for that day to come

The day where it all is gone

Call me lame

Call me a b*****d

It’s all the same

Say I’m spiteful

I’ll take your hate

But not your slang

Half of what you say you don’t even understand

But it’s okay, I’ll simply go away

After all you are Slang and I am Lame
