Memory in Music

A long poem but it's worth reading

Relistening to one of those songs that makes you smile and cry all at the same time

Always full of joy and love but brings you to your knees from the memories

An old theme you used to live by until they walked up to you and broke you

Messing with your feelings just like the words circling your head

Grieving and Hurting all over again just from some simple mistake

From asking a question and learning the truth to just listening to someone talk

It always hurt realizing you just wanted yourself to look good

Never brought up the past, never answering questions

Just to make sure everyone thought you were pure

Perfection, is what you acted as, fake smile too

Hero of perfection, villain of paradise

Make up your mind already

Stop leaving me clueless

I’m tired of it all

I can’t take

I enjoyed the layout and the message in this poem. Music can bring wonderful memories that can really lift the spirits, but on occasions, it can work the other way. It can make you relive unhappy situations again and cause you pain. This is what I got from your poem, that whatever you were listening to, did not bring you happiness, it brought you sorrow. Thank you Ne. You expressed yourself well.
