I’m afraid of mistakes

Afraid of not being good enough

If I hold onto the fears

I won’t get very far

Hope, the new driver

Get ‘em a car

Let ‘em take the wheel

Worried of falling asleep

Scared of waking up

Lost in my set of fears

Fear, the creeping shadow

Following you

Controlling your thoughts

Hope and fear what a good topic to write poem on...I have wrote a poem on hope but that was when someone left me and I waited for the person. Though what I learn in the phased was hope sits in the corner of the heart hidden from everything but still it so strong that it can help one in overcoming the fear!! Just like a matchbox can burn down the whole house.

Fear is a very strong emotion. I actually think it is easier to experience fear than it is hope. Too much fear and it will stop you in your tracks and you will fear doing everything. You have to be brave and look for a glimmer of hope and build on it. Not easily done when fear keeps putting the boot in. Hope can come to you in simple things. A flower growing in a pavement crack against all the odds. Look for things like that. Plenty to think about in your short poem. You expressed yourself well.
