Words of a Poet

Words of a Poet

A Poem by Ace Jaxon

A poet of repeating words

A dreamer of a new past

A lost soul in despair

Myself is all I can bear

My dreaming days are long gone

My words unspoken in frosty air

Lost in song

Unspoken rules never told

Hidden Legends done long ago

Oh, poet

Tell the songs of the birds

Speak the misheard words along the halls

Speak oh poet, speak

The last line to this poem I had originally deleted. After Speak oh, poet, speak the next line was Let your words be heard.
