Hate and Love

To me hate and love live on a single tree, where they hate and love one another...

You scream to me

“Just hate me!”

I calmly look for your face

My hands on your shoulders

“Why are you afraid?”

You look up at me and look to my face

“I don’t believe you!”

I continue to stare

Hoping not to give a glare

“It’s okay as long as you’re here..”

You walk away yelling at me

“I hate you!”

That gave it away

I fell to the ground

On my knees

Sobbing out the words

“I love you..”

But you’re nowhere to be seen
