Sapphic Desire

Sapphic Desire

A Poem by Ace Antonio Hall

As the blinds tap dance on an open window,
It is my wonder, how many great lovers
felt this same gentle air caress'em this night
this, which beholds us.

Is it the crooning of the goddess Venus,
or the whispers from an erotic partner,
soothing my soul, sending a fiery retreat
across a wet brow.

Let us kiss, for this is a joyous sharing.
For the wind that severs the line of your spine,
is the same east wind of a wealthy neighbor,
thirsty for moisture.
