with all due respect, this is a thanksgiving prayer about a four legged relative, and I LLLOOOVVVEE it by the way, and, of course, i have to call it like i see it. this is a cherokee prayer, and yes, all of our relatives go to heaven. are there eveil puppies that go to hell? i could not even imagine such! :P I miss my pup hawkeye, a/k/a chooch, half chihuahua, half terrier, completly my friend. forever. :( in heaven! :)

Animals have saved my life time and time again. Each time I lose one I say a silent prayer and give thanks. Reading your short poem reminds me of all the blessings I've received with each one and I realized that I never wrote a poem or even a story about them. Thank you for sharing your love and loss.

My family wants to keep protecting him because when he was born his fur looked as an Angel and we havent seen that in another puppy and he really helped us bring the family together at a time when there was confussion

Absolutely! In this context "We're all creatures of God" and to deny the relationships that can be created with any animal, not just the Dog would be foolish. I was invited to a Dog's brthday party, I thought it was a joke until I saw the reality behind the emotions. Ok the word party maybe did not describe the event entirely but the respect and devotion and unquestionable love real as any.
