Paper Monster

A Poem by SquinklaPsyOps

Paper Monster

"

I believe in the ghosts from this strange place and
In the stupidities that make you laugh

I believe in everything you write about
The closer I enter your world

I feel fragile
Running after your beasts

Pick up your pen and fight

I suppose you can interpret this in many different ways. Very interesting. Not sure what it means, but it's very nice.

Thank you appreciate your review and will try to find different interpretations.
Perfect. I do that too. You do that to me as do other good writers. I am drawn into their world as if slowly entering their house through the kitchen door. Their mind on paper interests me. I want to know more about them. Sometimes I feel I am standing where I should not. It can be so intimate. Your poem says all of that with very few well chosen golden words.

What does your poem mean then?
Every blank scrap of paper desires a soul; be she angel or demon. After receiving the breath of life from an inspired writer, this living blob of cellulose takes on a life of her own as she claws her way throughout our world seeking new victims to crinkle around.

Hello. Your piece is thought provoking. It could be about any you, or any of us, who contribute our writings here . It made me think you were talking to me as an individual, which is what all of us hope to achieve - and not everyone can do that - and you are so clever to achieve that in so few words. Not a word is wasted. I know every line you wrote rung a chime in me. You know why some of us write, and you recognise that some of it is dark. And you finished with a challenge to all of us. At least those of us who write to exorcise our fears and ghosts. Very nicely expressed, I'll have to read more of your work :)
