Masquerade Party

Masquerade Party

A Poem by SquinklaPsyOps
"

Masquerade Party

"
They walk the street distributing pamphlets
They are not allowed to receive gifts
They are not allowed to celebrate holidays
They are told they must suffer on earth to enter a limited space in their heaven
They are told those who don't enter will disappear like a burning flame

Could demons control and slave stupid persons by telling them there was limited space in Heaven then spit them to hell for them to disapear like a burning flame

You seem to have developed abhility to be able to send me wondering in just a few lines SquinklaPsyOps and I do appreciate that a lot!!! At first it made me thing of that posture that some may have in life"Dead man walking" which becuase they think they know the outcome then there is nothing worth doing as the outcome will be a "deadening" but that will imply that they have self- awarness while the ones described in your poem are in some sort of obvlivious state.
I hope I am not invited to that party!!
Thankyou you do make me wonder

Well the Devil can trick us but demons have no control over heaven
Even the devil try's to do things for his dark Kingdom but it ends up going to
good for God's kingdom as he created the Devil he controls
him so he can't go in harm who ever he wants he might pick on us and try to Torcher
us but we must know our Enemy.

Thank you for this Interesting piece.

Bu t yes some can be lead on like a string on
a puppet if they don't know their enemy and if
they are in the wrong church and feel they must worship
religion they are lost so many think it is religion when it is
Jesus we worship and have a relationship with.

Many mistreated me when I was little made fun of me
and I wasn't joining in to their Click I hate things like that
if I want to follow a crowd and be lost and not be who god made me
to be I wouldn't be the loving soul I am today life has thrown so many
curve balls at me I have learned grown Matured and dogged them.

Blessings. kindred poet

I must be honest - my first reaction when I saw the "masks" was that this was about a literal masquerade. But having read some of your previous work, I really never know what to expect.

This reminds me more of a particular religion (which I won't name here). Honestly, I don't understand the "rules" and regulations of certain churches and religions. Some of them *do* make sense to me (as I was raised in a particular faith)...but the more you think about and analyze much of this, I feel that you eventually, as an adult, must come to your own conclusions.

This is something I might consider writing about more - although I try to avoid starting arguments and being ultra-controversial. That's my nature, I think.

If Heaven had a limit, then it wouldn’t be Heaven. Hell's a place of confinement where we're boxed in like in a can of mustered covered sardines. Heaven is a deep blue sea where fish swim happy and free.

Thank you, I like your interpretation, it makes me see things in a different way.
I find it completely foolish for anyone to follow any religion. As an agnostic, i do not believe in any religion, but i do believe that there is a god. I am sure that at some point at the beginning of our history the true religion was there, but with time's fire and the ignorant foolishness of mankind that truth has long been hidden if not destroyed. The only people who know the truth are the dead and we all share that same fate, and so we really don't have long to wait. The truth is a mere bullet away.
However, as an agnostic i am also open to the possibility of there not being a god and have always pondered Nietzsche's inquiry of whether we are God's greatest blunder or God is our greatest blunder. But... I believe whole-heartedly that there is a god. Somewhere... And if not then i will find more comfort within that false reality than the harshness of our own.

Very intriguing and it says a billion things in just five lines. It reminds me of some pretty vivid memories of Baptist and Presbyterian fire and brimstone sermons that I had to endure growing up in Tennessee.

I'm a preacher's kid, and I've heard this interpretation, but I also remember my father's message. He taught me that when we screw up so bad and we think there is no possibility of God wanting us, we don't spend eternity in hell or any version of it. We're there for a while, and then God looks for us and he comes to forgive us, taking us with him to eternity. He does this ultimately because he loves us. It's a positive message and one that I still think I believe in my heart of hearts.

When I read this poem, of the billion things that it says in so few words, those are the two things I hear. Ultimately, what I'm saying, if I'm saying anything, is that your poem here has universal knowledge. God in all incarnations and all religions is a universal force with infinite knowledge that has seen our past, present, and future. You've done a marvelous job in bringing those thoughts to mind with this thought and spiritually provoking poem. Keep up the good work.
