A Poem by SquinklaPsyOps
"

Beginning

"
I thought we were going to be together forever
Because of us being from the magic world when

All the signs said that we were always going to be together
Now you look at me, and I don't want to be with you anymore

Because you didn't believe me
When I told you, and I was being completely sincere

Now when you try to approach me
I dont want to be with you

I learned all that by myself, without you
With no one to talk to when your

Farewell took the happiest days of my life
Leaving me sad, with a cold soul in solitude

I don't want to remember
How many days I cried

With the only ones to listen
Were the ghosts from the other world

Telling me to be quiet
Because I was waking them up

Don't get near me
I don't want to remember that

I don;t want to be friends with your friends that are going to hell
Don't look at me, I don't want to know you

Powerful poem of regret. Hard to grasp when someone isn't believing what we believe. I wanted to read more. You left the reader with question and the desire to know more. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Such a painful write of loss... of letting go... there is a courage in solitude... a strength in having to walk away.. but it leaves so much sorrow in its wake. Powerful.

Love that stanza!
Sharp, concise poetry. Images written so as to be both personal, and also the reader can reflect on their own hurts and regrets.
Very Nice!

the hurt that can be generated by betrayal and disappointment often leaves scars on the soul. closing a door and forging ahead is the appropriate remedy. by no means easy but how can one go on otherwise?
well penned poem. really good.

It is frightening how a deep love for another can turn to loathing and hatred when they hurt you so badly.
You have done an excellent job of expressing that here.
I note in a comment to one of the reviews that you don't normally write this style of work, but I would encourage you to explore this side of you more, you are so good at this.

A wonderful poem that hits all the high notes of concern in a relationship ... of the issue of affection ... individual natures ... love's everlasting promises and our concerns as regards our own behavior. To have stated that in philosophical study would have been brilliant but to declare it in verse is sublime. Nice.
