love the reference to the Raven... an omen... certainly poetry is a bit of this representation but i must take exception with being scripted... poets bring to light all kinds of human darkness... poets shine a light on human courage and positive attributes.. poets aspire to do this in unique, provocative, humorous, biting, satirical ways... i think your poem is powerful... it demands a response... the last 5 lines are exquisite.. nice work says i

Thank you for your valuable interpretation, I greatly appreciate it, will be reading your work soon.
I thought this had a very poetic feel to it. I don't usually use the word poetic to describe a poem, but I found there wasn't a better word to describe the way this felt; how the words flowed onto the next and the feeling it brought was purely... poetic. I didn't really understand that last line or how the raven came into it, but I feel that it means something elsewhere and so does serve a purpose even if I don't understand it. Beautiful poem.

I do believe there is a modicum of truth to your words. We do tend to create with our words a place of comfort for our minds. Your friend in words, Pete

Our world starts to shape by the words that we are told since we are little and there after we can battle to what words we allow to let in.
A very interesting poem. A good tribute to SABE. I like the raven. A bird of prey and mystery. I believe writer who love the word have great responsibility. Must write the truth and hope they can change their world somehow. Don't under-rate the word. Many have great fear of opinions. Internet is controlled and watched like all things today. I like the closing line to the excellent poetry.

This is one of my favorite pieces, it also reminds me of how lucky we are to be part of this network that teaches us how to handle every day life, when opinions come at us out in the world and we get to see different scenarios than most ordinary persons have the opportunity to experience.
As poets, we point out the flaws, the inconsistencies...and tell how the world should be.
As one famous poet once said...poetry is truth in it's Sunday clothes...
