Safe Inside the City Limits

Outside America’s city limits,
The Red Forest Gays lie in wait,
Outside America City’s city limits,
These PsyOps Gays for their scout wait,
He returns from an obscure hole,

“The Password?” Query the Red Forest PsyOps Gays.

“I’m happy,” says the scout returning from the hole.

“We're happy,” chorus all the Red Forest Gays.

“Did you see the girl?” PsyOp Cyclops, King of Red Forest Gays says.

“I saw the girl.”

“The Blue Forest Girl?”

“The Blue Forest Girl,” the PsyOps scout from Red Forest states.

“Tell me of her dreams, her thoughts.”

“She hates old people for their pessimism. She feels animals should not sleep in snow. She imagines the legions of Hell’s demons being defeated by American soldiers’ souls.”

“Did she download them?”

“She shouts victory cries over their graves.”

“Are you writing on her body?”

“I’m drawing on her bones, the instructions for her soul,”

PsyOp Cyclops’s gay cackle crackles through icicles in Red Forest trees.
“Does she know she works for me?”

“She knows and knows how to make those inside the city limits’ belief in us cease to be.”

“In we?”

“In we.”

“Using I.T.?”

“She will use I.T…She’ll write of us on poetry sites. All who hear her will think her impolite, and believe that all aligned against PsyOps must be aligned with Al Jazeera, aligned against gays and military careers”

“You wrote it on her bones?”

“I drew it in her soul through an obscure hole that travels into city limit homes.”

Interesting... I'm not exactly sure how to take this one, but that is not to say that I didn't like the direction. I think this is one of those pieces that I will be thinking about for a while, attempting to figure out the little nuances between the lines that are just outside of my reach at the moment. I will have to read more of you to become familliar with your voice and concept choices. This one definitely has a certain "singular human being" over "the man" feel to it... I'm intrigued.

Am still thinking about the main theme of the work. I think it has deep surface meaning..

This is a amazing story. I like the location and the characters in the tale. I like the feel of old story and mystery. I wanted to read more. This would be a good lead for a interesting story. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.

Umm ... hmm ... This one sentence makes me think of TRON. Is this taking place inside a computer ?

“Did she download them?” (in reference to hating old people, thinking animals should not sleep in snow, and imagining hell's minions defeated by spirits of American soldiers).

Aren't gays usually in the city because that's where all the gay bars are? So okay, they're forest gays. Like the forest nymphs in the old Greek tales. I'm sure the forest will look fabulous when their done decorating it. Do you ever think about how s****y fashion would be if it weren't for gay men? Has a straight guy ever won a season on project runway? Has a straight guy ever been on project runway? Maybe a couple but they get kicked off by Heidi Klum early on. Straight guys can't work with scissors. They'll stab themselves in the eye.
