It has been years in this quiet now,
and parts of you abound.
Having sailed these enquiries thus,
I have found my home upon a land
where the mute wind took us,
to realize that wherever we stand
every scene seems to have no sound.
Would I give it all away for change?
The depth to which this truth was rooted
make me sure it would be a waste.
When to feel it all, is to be felt by it all.
For, any endless growth can not be caged.
Only adapt to a vessel better suited,
yet retain the template upon which it is based.
From so far up, we would not need that fall.
To grow apart from the silence on this path,
It was something I had just learned.
How was I supposed to know what such things invoke?!
So, when I saw your drum march from across the road.
I half believed it was to be some tasteless joke.
Only, neither one of us laughed...
we were too busy gasping for air.
I have grown enough to bear that silence again.
Now, just how do I put the beast back to sleep?
How do I make it return my devoured patience to me?

Abyssmouse
It's just another one of those monologue things I call poems, directed at the universe.
