Stranded Bird

Stranded Bird

A Poem by Drew
"

On a beautiful day i was coming home from the beach and i found this small blue jay hopping around my back yard.It seemed to be injured,I included a small photo of him

"
I feel so attached to this beautiful thing

Your not reaching your potential and i cant help but relate

Who needs my help to mend his wing

Please friend just rest and lie in wait

Your physical form is damaged and so is my psychological state

The breathtaking color of your feathers cant be accuratley gauged

We share the same life.Eat,Sleep and find your mate

To me you are a fellow person whom shall not ever be caged

I dread the day in which you regain your ability to fly

You will leave me,like all things i love tend to do

I will also be happy to see you travel into the sky

To say that I wouldn't do it all again would simpy be untrue
