Severed love

Severed love

A Poem by AbsintheandBlood

As I stare out at the visible silence
I see you in the tall gleaming grass.
You were mine before, lost in my past.

With humoring rumors of pleasant death
You stepped to me and stole my breath.
And took my life at such an age
Scarcely time to sow my rage
My life was played out on your stage.

Lost in love like the moon behind dark trees
Your soul revealed the Devil's philosophy.
Oh darkened love you did forecast
Long would I live with no torturing past.

To ever float on an endless stream
Of darkened nights
and darkened dreams...
