Alimony

Alimony

A Poem by Abraxasbird

burned images of past tense remitances
I recall looking at the world in opulence
thinking it could never be this good again
but of course the world itself is dismissive

I've seen the tire burn through the tarp
the angels strike dissonance on a harp
I've learneed the weakness of the heart
I'm aware of the end from whence it starts

You lose, every time, you lose
Black and blue, battered and bruised
I've heard the echoes of disanthropic tunes
and i've become the moon aware of the lunes

If i've a twin, the sin was conglomerate
It seems the confluence of ignorance
Meanders against my throat in a whimsical jest
towards my chest, my life, my pretense
