The Grieving Process (Part II)

The Grieving Process (Part II)

A Poem by Nicole Marie

I do not know how to let go
Your death follows me like
A swarm of bees
So loud, I cannot stand it
So close, I cannot flee

Like a backdrop painted
Across my brain
Music that does not leave
the blankness of my work
the numbness of my eyes
the tightness of my lips
I cannot see.

the kingly star still glows
it all moves
still, the same, it all moves
only, you’re missing
this cannot be

but I still breathe
and I still sing
I still wonder who’s changing in me

It’s me finding you
And it’s you finding me

I stumbled over "herd of bees"... it's "swarm of bees". That would make more sense. Also, the italicized part would be more consistent if you said "of my work" to match the of's in the next two lines. Unless you intended it to be like that, which is fine, but consistency aids in clarity.
Other than that I think it's great. Very emotional and powerful. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the feelings described in the poem.
