Sinners Prayer

Sinners Prayer

A Poem by Terrance
"

A direct parallel to my poem "Gods of Babylon"

"

I hear angels and demons sing around me

Their voices tell me a stories of entropy and divinity

They force me to reflect my humanity

My morality fails me

I hear them laugh as I slip through the cracks

I turn away as they make me look into the past

These days I wear my smiles like a mask

I break and fall apart like glass

The cosmic hands of God shoot pass me like a comet

Defying all logic

creating a chaotic symphony that leads deep into innifty

I feel the void slipping through me

I feel the power of depravity

I seek a remedy

I want serenity

I’m choking on my own sense of reality

I see stars fall behind me causing calamity

They won't stop singing about me

I walk through the endless passage of time

Trying to understand God’s design

What makes it so divine?

That it declines me of everything that ought to be mine?

I feel at peace when i’m in my mind

My creativity stretches through space and time

I see the universe expands with each breath I take

I witness my mistakes as the devil drags me to the depths of his lake

I feel cold and alone

Nowhere to go and not sure where to call home

Walk in the garden of Eden to see the truth of humanity

Created by a false prophecy

Adam and eve is within me as I see the world fall and rise before me

The angels stopped singing but the demons continue to taunt me.
