Cop, Thief, Devil: Chicago

Cop, Thief, Devil: Chicago

A Story by Abishai100
"

An odd cross-section of Windy-City theft, detection, and darkness invokes an image of pure Earthling jelly.

"
A Windy-City fiction about intersections in IQ and wrath. Thanks for reading (Happy Xmas season),

Amlan Satan had become a master thief in Chicago, taking bonds and gems from bank boxes and jewelry outfits for pronounced smugglers and pirate roads intercepts and casting himself as something of a musketeer of the Windy-City, and no one guessed he was something of an avid football fan (Facebook-like!).

However, hot on his tracks for a more sanitary and sane adjective cleat for Earthling chores was the great Detective Starling who not only marked our protagonist prince-thief antihero of this stranger shadow-story of the Windy-city as a determinate danger-man but also put-together jigsaw pieces professionally enough to make social media commentary dissuading wayward souls of this American Homeland to performing copycat crime signatures glorifying the dangerous consciousness behind modern Western world theft for cinema.

STARLING: Do you anything about this Phantom, chief?
POLICE CHIEF: We do know there's no relation to our tracked thief, your case!
STARLING: I don't doubt there isn't; and I feel wary the Phantom's more evil than rebellious.
POLICE CHIEF: Evil, Starling (hmmm)?
STARLING: While our signature 'thief-prince' seems more like a Robin Hood case, this one's dark.
POLICE CHIEF: Dark, starling?
STARLING: Phantom's social media posts about wandering in cape with anarchism IQ is eerie!
POLICE CHIEF: Eerie.
STARLING: I feel like I'm negotiating the work of a cop, a thief, and the Devil himself, chief.
POLICE CHIEF: Maybe...maybe Phantom's agenda may be to conflagrate Chicago's bread/lore.
STARLING: Ha, like the Headless Horseman (Facebook-like).

Well, would Starling guess that Amlan Satan fled to Brussels to retire post-deed of daring and rebel-cause for pirate-roads intercepts, while the eerie new stranger in Chicago, the Phantom, making cyber-comments about being witness to Earthling city meanderings for meditations on the Realism of sloth and perdition and finding unnatural urge to someday lash-out with some weird strike against the Opera-House, decided to react to the disappearance of the prince-thief (Amlan Satan).

PHANTOM: That rascal-thief left insurance notes about eco-capitalism jitters!

STARLING: Seems the escaped thief pulled at heaven's string for Phantom's jury!

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
