Sleepy-Mad: A Mod HorsemanA Story by Abishai100Modernized tell of the Washington Irving gem about incomplete-distances readings to transit/superstition requirements.
A Sleepy Hollow adaptation. Happy Holidays,
---- ==== Ichabod moved to a quaint New England hamlet post-graduation and hoped to make his cyber-homeschooling venture a special read for accessibility and interest in the shared works of John Milton, Adam Smith, and Rabindranath Tagore; and he read of that old tale in the area of the cryptic and haunting Headless Horseman, said to be heard (or seen!) hoofing around in the post-midnight hours under moonlight. Ichabod knew of Horseman-lore from around the fare-rich Earth and wondered if this New England rendition was now a simply unneeded distraction to the loveliness of the environment around him (damn). ADMINISTRATOR: Good read for the lines of sportsmanship-like class, sir. ICHABOD: I intend to make 21st-Century New England cyber-class excel! ADMINISTRATOR: Do you not care to refrain from walks post-midnight, sir? ICHABOD: Sounds-dialysis for good readings of caution, for the Horseman! ADMINISTRATOR: A good (cyber) teacher need heed the dark of cyber-lore. ICHABOD: Well, if this Headless Horseman despises cyber, I am Selfie-IQ! ADMINISTRATOR: Good cheer and spirit, for...for leviathan/uncertainty. ICHABOD: Facebook-like (thanx). Ichabod vanished. Some say he was encountered by the Horseman in moonlight. Some say the Headless Horseman wielded an axe and decapitated the idealist/teacher in New England and buried him alongside his other (half-invisible) human victims (damn). Still others say Ichabod managed to valiantly scurry-away from the Horseman giving-chase on horse as a demon-shadow, even going so far as to hurl his peculiar bag of marbles at the hooves of the horse the evil specter rode, making the horse and the Horseman trip-up, but infuriating him enough to hurl his weapon (whatever it was really!) at poor Ichabod's cheering head (wow). ADMINISTRATOR: They say Ichabod was a great fan of dream-sleep vision. INTERVIEW: Maybe he dreamt the Horseman into fury pre-vanishing, eh? ADMINISTRATOR: Well, Ichabod shall be missed...wherever he may be. INTERVIEW: Happy Halloween (Facebook-like). "Doing well is the result of doing good.
