READER: I anticipate a boring 20-13 triumph for Cleveland, friend. ME: I doubt it; there's equal hand line for a taut game of cool strategy here/now. READER: Both teams seem to be under that shadowlands struggle umbrella. ME: Well, I've been to both stadiums, and it's the time of Cleveland, me thinks. READER: At least the Eagles have a Lombardi. ME: Browns lost their shiny QB to the Orange State (damn). Fortunately for me, there was no dark event in the grounds of competition idealism that day between Cleveland-Philly, despite what we'd all become accustomed to in the 21st-Century Blue Planet of troubles imagery for reflections of real world woe (e.g., Coronavirus). Football was any given Sunday (ok). GIRLFRIEND: I made you this doodle. ME: It's you! GIRLFRIEND: You need some Sunday-TV accoutrement...some flyer avatar. ME: I used to live in Philadelphia, City of Brotherly Love, darling. GIRLFRIEND: Life's a beach (sometimes). "Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2024 Abishai100 |
