The American quest for pennant on an October Saturday yields this narrated portrait of fantasy fan-adjective for the cleats of Earthling Jabberwocky.

"
A love-letter for baseball (American pastime) for this Saturday Homeland hosting of the tie-breaking Game 5 between Detroit and Cleveland (wow).

I wondered who I would cheer for on a special Saturday in October for American Homeland baseball readings. Would it be the motor-city of Thanksgiving-football TV culture's fave underdog team reaching great heights for sports languages spice (Tigers) or the American cool squad who'd performed quite brightly in the '24 season to reach top division laurels (Guardians)? I'd been a fan of sports storytelling and knew this final 5th-Game of the division-series between the Tigers-Guardians would draw fans of all type on Planet Earth (Selfie-like).

I sometimes wondered if I should've written some great American novel concept about the symbolism lines of baseball's branches to varied Earthling activity of intuition and/or color, like that of war or fashion-trends like WWI or the Roaring Twenties (etc.). Baseball had become a democracy-symbol, and it'd become rich with record and stories of unusual color like the establishment of a women's league during wartime for cool sports-marketing adjective/spirit. I wondered if I would write such a thing, and if this 5th-Game of the division series micro-rivalry theater (Tigers-Guardians) would reflect some '24 October baseball season spice for post-Coronavirus Earthling/Western cleats (for leviathan/uncertainty).

I live in a modest/bright comfy prototype suburbia Earthling niche in the Homeland (America) called Echelon where baseball fanfare is cute and conversational and charming and extending to multiple Eastern/American teams like the Phillies and Mets, and I knew Tigers-Guardians theater created a nearly-perfect parity among the citizen-residents of Echelon, with just about 1/2 I'd estimated rooting for one or the other (Facebook-like!).

The one true thing that makes baseball a great fan-activity for Earthling conversation and social media culture in the West (American Homeland), for capitalism symbolism and fan-consciousness orientation, is the iconic baseball card, a sports-trade fan collectors fun featuring athletes and stats for seasons and team-contributions. I collected baseball cards as a young boy and knew I honestly liked athletes featured from both Detroit and Cleveland as this 5th-game theater between Tigers and Guardians gripped my October baseball-season chin (for the Ego!).

READER (Social Media): Cleveland's been strong all season ('24), pal.
ME: Yes, I concur, but Game-5 boasts Cy Young level Tigers pitcher, man!
READER: You're empathetic for the Guardians, aint ya, pal?
ME: It's a 50/50 universe this Saturday at 1 ('24), honestly.
READER: Yeah, Facebook-like (good).

Who'd carry the day between the Tigers and Guardians on this special Saturday October-day to meet with the power team/town Yankees for the American pennant race (hmmm)? I made myself a great white-cheese ball-park commemoration frank snack and made sure nothing distracted me from my 1pm baseball-TV frequency in Echelon (America) and hoped honestly it was simply a great/close game, regardless of the outcome. However, that one reader guessed I was (partially) sympathetic for the forward Cleveland team.

THE END

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
