Royal-October: Chance Democracy

Royal-October: Chance Democracy

A Story by Abishai100
"

Fan narrates his micro-journey in October for baseball iconography and fan-adjective and offers some 'charm-magic' for Earthling thought(s).

"
I think one more October-seasons baseball-nod is required, for this Saturday. Happy Halloween all,

Let me tell you why in a special October, I took my borrowed white auto for focus to a Homeland baseball game featuring an iconic title theater between the Royals of Kansas City and the Yankees of New York. Well, the Royals had given shocking theater just prior by downing the cheered Orioles and now wanted New York blood. It's why I wanted to drive to the game, from a distance, in the States (Selfie-like).

The Yankees led their domain in the '24 season, and it'd be a touch-reach challenge for the aspiring and ambitious Royals, who'd won the Series in '15 (21st-C.) and '85 (20th-C.); and I boasted some nifty era cards for both time-periods (20th-21st Centuries) as a collector/super-fan. Sure, I wanted a Royals shocker even post-Orioles trumpet. However, it was a tough chance reach, honestly, but I carried with me a special lucky-charm which I'd look at during the game in the stadium, and maybe the Royals would certainly offer the NY-force of cleats something ABCD in Game 1 of their series (sure).

My name's Amlan Satan, and I'm a sports-writer, fan, and card-collector; and I considered this Royals-Yankees October-theater a great Selfie-chance to make some charm-adjective for American Homeland baseball thrills, in this new age of social media, globalism-rhetoric, and activity linked transit-securities peace talks for the Ego (sure). I simply thought my presence in the stadium would offer something of motions and charm for the Game 1 showcase (Facebook-like).

READER: Your Upper-Deck collection is quite unique, friend of baseball.
ME: Thanx, reader; I think there's lots of net-connections for teams/stars!
READER: Well, I doubt you don't boast the '86 Topps (Traded) collection/trophy.
ME: You said it; I'm thinking there's some Homeland image for Game-1 spec.
READER: You like to speculate, about baseball, I mean?
ME: Sure; there's so much talent, you can almost 'palm-read' from card-stats.
READER: Go Royals!

America had seen much challenge(s) in its rise as the (unofficial?) Big-Brother of Earthling-capitalism/media. Well, in the 21st-Century, there was a case of new 'troubles' for media/comment, including 9/11, the Coronavirus, the Russo-Ukraine War, and North Korean nuclear-disarmament threats. I wondered, as I zoomed to the Royals-Yankees October-theater for some expression of an Earthling charm, if this would be my final game driven-by-distances to cheer for what made America great --- storytelling (sure).

READER: You should find some fan-friendly lady (wife?) at your venture, friend.
ME: Well, incidentally, I'm recently-divorced, and I'm a Catholic-convert now!
READER: There's much fan-faces comment for town/city biases in sports/TV, no?
ME: Well, incidentally, me thinks this Royals-NY fan-IQ is (all) Facebook-like!
READER: Go Royals, for America's things.

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
