October Base: Sheol-QualificationsA Story by Abishai100Fan premonition (fictional) dare with his girlfriend about October-season 'showcase' of Baltimore-KC sport (baseball) thorns.
Yarn inspired by the cool Orioles-Royals Wild Card game tonight. Happy baseball month!
---- ==== Well, I'd been a great card-collecting fan of the cool-blue uniformed Royals of Kansas-City, but this year's Orioles, only 2nd in their micro-area to the top-ranked Yankees, had me thinking of boyhood fanfare for that great orange-and-white colors and cute-face mascot of that Baltimore team; and I remembered a great pitcher-card from Baltimore I had when I was 10-years old. This was in-time for game 2 of the 3-series Wild Card race between the Royals and Orioles; and it would be in Baltimore (damn). This was Facebook-like). Friends, this fan October baseball-month letter of superstition concerns my dare with my fiancee (Ezzy) that the Orioles will win game 2 of the Willd-Cart October contest of '24 (damn). Both teams toast stat-leading hitters/pitchers in the upper brackets of the American baseball season (wow). Seth Lugo starts tonight for KC, but I'm cheering for the Orioles-man for whom I have now purchased an October '24 toast-card for, Ramon Urias (a great consistency-man who reminds me why baseball is a field/base for lines of simplified prediction fun for the boy in the man! READER: Well, the Royals shocked Baltimore in Game 1 of the Wild Card. ME: I know, I know, I know; and you'd doubt I was a Royals-cards collector too! READER: Why Orioles now, pal? ME: I go with Urias...when there's leviathan/uncertainty, baseball's a photo. READER: Oh, you like the stat-feel of American base qualia, eh? ME: Selfie-like (go Orioles...down those Yanks somehow). READER: Fair. EZZY: You used to play baseball in video-games, darling? ME: I played just about every baseball video-game out there, darling! EZZY: What gives you photo-IQ that Orioles will overcome the blue-deficit? ME: I get this video-game feeling; I'm a real nerd...you will lose. EZZY: Fair. Well, the stage had been set by me, and I knew I had to chew the gum to hope for the best for Baltimore, a place I spent one summer (really!). Ezzy was gonna lose, and my Orioles were going to bounce-back from that devastating game-1 loss to those Kansas City blue-men of hell. Hell, the Royals already boast 2 titles in '85 and '15; the Orioles are due for something...strobe-fiction (damn). "Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2024 Abishai100 |
