Harvest-BendsA Story by Abishai100Samhain/Halloween 'color' marks this vignette about harvest-season superstition/lore for two inventive Homeland horror-films changelings.
Samhain vignette. Since Halloween fast approaches,
DISCLAIMER: This work of Halloween lore contains images/references with no ties to any representative person(s)/body (e.g., Stephen King) and is cast as purely a 'personal' expression for social art (for 'open' review/critiques). ---- ==== Samhain, the Gaelic festival celebrating the harvest and the inception of the wintery 'darker' half of the calendar-year, celebrated mostly in Ireland, had found roots of pumpkin-and-goosebumps color in American Halloween seasons, for which I cast myself as a Michael Myers (Halloween horror-film antagonist/psycho figure of fiction/lore) 'copycat' figure in a Western small-town called Haddonfield (Selfie-like). I decided to help Haddonfield put-together some iconic orange-lights display for the Samhain-roots season, in colored-reading of the Halloweentime ornaments-consciousness (for the Ego!). These lights of orange derivative would remind folks why that harvest-season colors-lens illuminated the dark-season aura of inventive earthen moods of the skies getting colder, ushering all to rush inside for pumpkin and soup (mmmm). "My name's Sheila, and I read this guy's cyber-blogs, this 'Michael Myers copycat' Samhain-Halloween citizen-patriot reveler with orange-lights for Haddonfield ana harvest/hometown feelings of the Ego. However, I went the other way for the Autumn, in premonition for the Xmas and winter months (January, February). I thought about bloody-murder, anarchism, and the hellmouth(s) that came with Samhain/Halloween 'lore' for darkness and superstitions, of witchcraft and goosebumps, of sensual paranoia of the 3rd kind, and of simplified leviathan/uncertainty...and I decided to cast myself as a Pin-Up Girl (Strangers horror-series antagonist psycho supporting character) 'copycat' for social media view (ha)." Wow, I read of Sheila's antics as this 'Pin-Up Girl' (Strangers fame!). I found myself oddly political with my Samhain/Halloween American pluralism folk-friendly view of harvest-season superstitions for shine/arts and pedestrian comment or ornament. I got myself a copy of Peter and Wendy (JM Barrie) and wondered if I was (somehow) Peter Pan, and Pin-Up Girl (somehow) had become Wendy Darling...for leviathan/uncertainty of the 3rd kind, of American Homeland inventions in everyday magic-hyperbole (for streets/culture chandeliers). SHEILA: "Yum, creamy chocolate eggs for trick-or-treat and stranger-evasions." ME: There's always a taste for inventive psychosis-renderings for Halloween! SHEILA: "Michael Myers was Halloween-bound; Pin-Up Girl is so libertine." SHEILA: "Stay soft when thinking of the candyland of choices (always)." "Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2024 Abishai100 |
