New York's AuguryA Story by Abishai100Portrait (narrated) of a New Yorker who visits a small-town (Haddonfield) during his 'Selfie-journey' of what's especially thinker's field goals.
An art humanity vignette inspired by Basquiat and featuring a rich-image of media-wonders; and a movie star (Katie Holmes) for fiction references. Thanks so much for reading,
---- ==== I had this great set of toys. You see, I've loved collecting toys since I'd been a little boy in Philadelphia, and I used to go to toy-stores, which made Xmas quite-special. I had this great set of toys that I mailed to a movie-star (ha). I consider myself a line constructor of incomplete-distances readings of the uncertainty of life, and why sculpted fantasy makes for a healthier (Catholic?) escapism...if only for the Ego/heart! CELEBRITY: You want to send me a vigilantism doodle to see if I want your toys? ME: Surely do, Miss Star; this is great idea for citizenry-fanfare; donate the toys! CELEBRITY: Toys-for-Tots (ok?). ME: Surely, great; I'll email you the stick-figure doodle; you see if you like it. CELEBRITY: This is like Batman looks like the Elephant Man, pal. ME: Surely does; the maiden is Talia al Ghul, made to look like an angel-aide! CELEBRITY: So, you want me to feel cool about Talia (then?). ME: You'll love these toys...Toys-for-Tots (whatever!). CELEBRITY: Selfie-like? She accepted my proposition, friends! I decided to visit a small town called Haddonfield in the Autumn (for Halloween!). I gifted some toys and got myself a Greg Maddux rookie-card (Donruss!). This was why I had become a writer and visual-art image complement crafter in the American Homeland, and 'Miss Star' (the lady-luck who'd get my special toys) would be like the art/writer agent, without selling my stuff (pretty cool). I thought I saw the ghost of my mother (Neena) inside a store then (hmmm). Goodness, I think I'd always wanted to be some kind of 'world' messenger, and I made this one story of a man who was like the opposite of Santa Claus, but not in a differing/evil way, but because he was a costumed male-harlequin resembling something like a 'streets-guerrilla' Elf (from Algiers?), casting him as a toy-man in Haddonfield (ha). So, Miss Star said my stick-figure doodle of vigilante 'poetry' of Earth was quite personal and interesting for someone like me, and she liked how Batman looked like the Elephant Man. I mailed her the toys, but I (actually) don't know if she made some Toys-for-Tots venture...though, I keep the doodle in a time-capsule project (for the Ego). CONCIERGE: You claim you've got business cards with vigilante doodle print? ME: Sure, friend...something to gift to visitors for Xmas-time (cool?). CONCIERGE: What's it, you're rich-prince with gifts for Homeland-Jersey? ME: Sure, friend...my sister and my nieces are guests here for the holidays! CONCIERGE: Sure (farewell). That's my story, or my portrait (wow). I hope you liked it, and thanx for thinking about all this (through/with me!). I decided not to make 'extra credit' contact with more media/movie 'universe' folks, because I was simply satisfied. That's what my creativity rendered in me...special 'helmets' for the leviathan/uncertainty of capitalism-race arms of whole bread (sure!). "Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2024 Abishai100 |
