Town-Tale

A Story by Abishai100
"

A mysterious stranger gifts computer mouse items to young kids of Haddonfield but is not identified as a normal philanthropist.

"
An offbeat tale of inventive residential 'consciousness' in the Homeland (America). Thanks for reading!

A man wandered around Haddonfield (NJ/USA) as Autumn approached in late August, thinking to distribute computer mouses for younglings, and they adored him. He was quite the hit in this idyllic historic area of shopping and suburbia residential living for American Homeland pride and quiet comforts. This man never took his mask off and always appeared afternoon before sunset to make his pre-Autumn computer mouse gift act (Selfie-like!).

READER: This is a fun social media subject, this mask-gifter of Haddonfield.
READER: He's got all those classic computer mouses for our younglings, ha.
READER: Pre-Autumn goodies as football (college/pro) weekend TV organizes.
READER: This is Selfie-like, so it's harmlessly normal, sure.

Why wouldn't the kids love this guy? This mask-gifter of Haddonfield (NJ/USA)? He was a big hit, and people compared him to Santa Claus, were it not for his somewhat unusual mask and generally youthful demeanor of candid computer mouse gift intelligence (ha). Yes, the Haddonfield younglings appreciated this late-August pre-Autumn afternoon mask-gifter visit ritual for the Ego (sure).

READER: What if this guy turns out to be some criminal or terrorist, pal?
READER: There's always dark-sky readings in times of normal American life.
READER: Pearl Harbor (Industrialization); 9/11 (Internet-age); Coronavirus.
READER: Biblical depression, the Great Depression, bad medicine, yes.
READER: That's why I suggested this mask-gifter could be a bad tiding, pal.
READER: Well, let's enjoy the moment, as if it's some classic comic image.
READER: Sure, Richie Rich or Archie's comics of vintage American optimism.
READER: This isn't Germany, so he's not the Pied Piper of Hamelin or something!
READER: Hell, he never takes his mask off to reveal his ID, so it's good fun.
READER: He flashed his Social Security card to the Haddonfield police (good).
READER: Maybe he's the ghost of Ichabod Crane (Sleepy Hollow).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
