An inventive yarn about Lucifer and vampires. Enjoy!
---- ==== I was sitting at home, working from home, as I do, as a cyber-homeschooling teacher and creative-writer, penning my newest version of Christian mythology alternative line, featuring Lucifer, once God's first-knight beautiful angel, fallen, rebelled, seeking alternate paths of glory, defying God and Genesis and Eden's blueprints integrity for view. Only, my Lucifer-view for alternative language focused on a very unusual brand of mythology translation, featuring Lucifer ('Satan' or the Devil), adversary of mankind/civilization, as not simply a challenger of norms or exchanges or mechanics but a pronounced vampire. Sounds funny, I know, but it imprinted in my brain-wire a special Selfie-age commentary for other brands of pedestrian superstitions (for fiction!). ![]() “Abashed the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is and saw Virtue in her shape how lovely: and pined his loss” (John Milton, Paradise Lost). I thought about the varied literature/folklore/canon of Satan, the Devil (once named 'Lucifer') and why he'd be a vampire despite his overlook view (or representations of it!) as certainly offering personalized views of God's plan, Eden's frailties, man's vanity, government's inventive signatures. Why would Lucifer be a vampire, like Dracula himself, rather than a rebel angel of 'troubles' of Earth-realm linguistics (for the Ego)? This became my new folklore-translation challenge of incomplete-lines to the interest/IQ/intrigue of Christian mythos 'conference' for evaluations and bloody suspense/fiction/synthetics. ![]() SATAN: I'm visiting you in your dream-sleep vision, prince of language(s). ME: Is it really you (Lucifer)? SATAN: It is indeed the Devil you know and read/write of, Mr. Amlan Satan. ME: We share a name-linguistic, but I'm just Algerian-American with French-origin. SATAN: I know it; there's an ice-hockey player with a Satan-surname, you know? ME: I know the name (TV-sports). SATAN: Watching the Summer Games, Mr. Satan? ME: Nah...got too much interest in this mythology-translation frill, Satan! SATAN: Have you seen Blood Diamond (Leo DiCaprio)? ME: Aha, eco-capitalism; I know it; it has some concern for me, you say. SATAN: It does. ME: What's it, Devil? SATAN: You write of my potential vampire (blood-immortal) visage, Mr. Satan? ME: I keep it clean...pure introspective speculation fiction for conjecture/fantasy. SATAN: Nothing like the Rushdie-controversy, I wager. ME: I'm a simple/humble American Homeland cyber-homeschooling teacher, Devil. SATAN: I ask of Blood Diamond(Ed Zwick), because you maybe 'wise' in your write. ME: How's it? SATAN: Your Earth-realm's a capitalism/fortune roller...membrane bloody think. ME: You may be a vampire (geez!). SATAN: Ha (keep secret...Facebook-like). ME: That's fair humility then (I return to sleep!). SATAN: Good! ![]() When I woke from my unusual and 'extra credit' dream-sleep vision, I was uncertain if Lucifer (himself!) was the visage-specter who visited/contacted me for pre-write message and warning and recommendation for leviathan. What did/would he want with me? Was I persuaded to think his vampire 'visage' offered some Earth-realm 'dough-roller' for the bloody pizza-and-tomatoes convenience arms of consumerism 'consciousness' for 21st-Century Earth/American lifestyle (e.g., Pizza Hut, Bloomberg, Planet Hollywood, etc.). Was I ready to cast Satan (the Devil) as a Dracula of fiction/friction for capitalism's dodecahedrons...for special 'academic' shoes-of-leviathan? What would I do now (I wondered)? This was an amazing stories characteristic (surely!). ![]() "Doing well is the result of doing good.
