A fan-letter to the Summer seasons ionic Tour de France which begins today and was originally conceived as a theater-feature to boost sales of a French newspaper of sport called L'Auto which itself was a promotion-explosion paper linked to the journalism-fireworks and profit-savvy of the human-news of the divisive Dreyfus affair (quite intriguing),

I was thinking of watching TV in the West to follow the iconic Tour de France world bicycle race, hosted in France, and featuring world-class bicycle-riding racers of marathon caliber (going around and up/down mountain peaks and valleys in the heat of summertime) and why such media-audience fanfare revealed a Selfie-culture image of fantasy-athletics/fitness. My name's Amlan Satan, and I represent a broad Earth cross-section of world-sports fanfare in citizenry for social media 'culture' bread/fruit.

When I was a kid, I was taught how to ride a bicycle by my grandfather's accountant-friend (Lolli) and learned to love the thrill of that balance and miracle-body composure on two-wheels. My dad got me a Huffy with those slick disc-plate covered wheels, and I'd ride around my Homeland-Jersey area with my video-game buddy (Obi) and ride to a development/suburbia area with hills and valleys where we'd run to eventually train for our future high-school dream of competing for a very prestigious long-distance cross-country boys running/racing team (wow).

I'm not an athlete today but a writer and a chef, and I think-back on those youth-years on bicycle wish stage, and it reflects and parallels my currency-fascination with the Tour de France as an adult media-audience 'diplomat' of Earth, tracking the great world-racers through those French/Euro mountains of peaks/valleys and arduous but swift and momentum-timed (and dangerous!) human-physique controls for consciousness (phew). I'm cheering for Primoz Roglic, a great racer, who though not the top-2 picks/faves to grab that coveted yellow-jersey trophy conceived of by L'Auto in the beginning of the 20th-Century (when the race started!), might make the field much more thrilling (hmmm). To cheer it on with TV, I'm getting some great French food to share with my wife (Esmerelda). This is great (Selfie-like).

"They are reaching deep into the suitcases of courage" (bicycle-race quote in social print/talk). That's a nice statement to 'catch' that wind-spirit of this iconic French summertime bicycle race, and it's reminded me why there's a special 'wish' quality to this TV experience for anyone interested in sports ambition or general life fitness 'consciousness' quality (yeah). I remember my Huffy, loving the bicycle-wish feeling, and why that yellow-jersey 'trophy-line' for the Tour de France invokes my media-age musketeer mind of incomplete-bureaucracy phenomena.
