Narrated portrait of Selfie (or soul) negotiations in modern culture for rendered divinity-superstitiousness for transcendence or adaptation with a devilish ale.

"
A mythology-modernization yarn of the theme of Faust and inspired by the modern Amercian self-gripping gem Drunks (Richard Lewis). Thanks for reading,

I was traveling around the American Homeland doing my business sales of special Gateway-like personal computer use devices and toys meant to offer customers/consumers self-assembled and self-designed user-friendly network tech devices/gadgets, selling the quality of my warehouse production design team based in the Homeland-Jersey area of transit-conveniences in capitalism. It was good solid work, if you're an 'avid-fan' of salesmanship, which I am, and I cherished my Ivy-education in business and my readings of Adam Smith and Arthur Miller and found myself going hotel-to-hotel in the American Homeland becoming more and more pensive and self-conscious of my role as a tech/modernism era user-consumer 'consciousness' messenger for dollars and housing (hmmm).

So, that was my story. I was relatively young and hard-working and country-trekking as a typical American salesman; but as I contemplated my role as a consumer-tech 'drone' of the Earth space and cleats, I decided I was becoming 'too human' for anything elegiacally pronounced as inventive or self-exploratory, and I began to think-back on my days at college when I contemplated more pensively and emotionally about the meanderings of the human mind and the wrought tension of end zones concerning incomplete-lines to consciousness-enhancements or 'surgery' for the Ego. It was during college that I'd explored the self-indulgences of the drink, of alcohol/liquor, and why self-made liberty space afforded the wandering soul a chance to simply be self-absorbed. I returned to this 'frame' of consciousness for the Self, as I trekked as a too-typical American salesman, albeit a rather diligent and statistically self-made one. I returned to the drink. I began to check into hotels for my country-salesman treks and would get lots of alcohol/liquor and watch meaningless hours of ESPN on the TV. I'd become a drunk and sought an escapism 'adverb' for Selfie-consumerism commentary culture readings of the Ego (damn).

DEVIL: Do you know why I reach you in your dream-sleep (now), mister?
ME: This is a dream, and I'm to recount/explicate its Self-significance, eh?
DEVIL: Don't make light of my message, mister.
ME: I'm just a salesman...and lately an American drunk...seeking an island-line.
DEVIL: I know it; you said it, mister; what you need is personal liberty-spaces.
ME: What, like get drunk in hotels and make bad poems and paintings for me?
DEVIL: Why not...isn't the free will end zone of Earth one of the Self-mind?
ME: You really are the Devil (Lucifer/Satan)!
DEVIL: When you wake from this drink, contemplate the drink-or-dowry matter.
ME: Fine (farewell).

I believe I really had been 'engaged' by the Devil, of Christian mythos. I myself am a happy Catholic, Algerian-American immigrant/citizen of the American Homeland, pronouncedly statistically successful American salesman (of computers/gizmos), and I thought I was suddenly this Christian-folklore 'diplomat' of some self-made Selfie-reading of Earth spaces of cleats and helmets, given my newfound anti-philosophical drunk-man 'status' of no social net. I decided to refuse the Devil's wage to become an 'isolationist-artist' of happy-delusion or fancy and checked into alcoholism-rehab, to get back to salesman roads or choose a profession that would actually afford me more 'personality' thinking for Selfie-smiles. I decided my 'Apple-Faust' engagement with the Devil, during that one dream-sleep 'examination' of incomplete-bureaucracy arts over-analysis rendered in me a simplified 'leviathan' image of man's sporting negotiation...with his own doughnut.
