Lady Endymion was no nice-lady; but Amlan and Thomas were no ordinary-people but extra ordinary 'grifters' of the old street variety and Artful Dodger brand, and their UK-expression for horse-race blended gem-market evil-siren double-cross revealed what they (ironically) learned from Nina...incomplete-distances to social media hellmouths.

The announcer at the prestigious Gold-Cup race of the Royal Ascot media 'event' in the UK signaled the triumphant 'shock' that the defiant-horse/contender Vauban created for audiences/news; and it made Amlan/Thomas feel more swift for that last-leg of their own race/game of hellmouths (wow).

ENDYMION: How'd they know Vauban win?

ASSOCIATE: They were too good (please don't worry).

ENDYMION: Unwinding to some Reversi...never-again for friendship.

The merchant tied to the Lady's gem-markets (black markets, etc.) confessed the UK-street 'gossip' would concern incomplete-lines to why Endymion's mark drew in the hands of nature-grifters like Amlan/Thomas, who were now in Brussels managing their own capitalist-enterprise using their gathered earnings (or winnings).
