Amlan and Raki were officially Ronin-of-Earth, displaced or misplaced ex-intelligence mercenary-warriors simply focused for work by their random underworld of black-market employers, like this Arles-one, Ms. Endymion, who moved them to make special conflict-zone gem Euro-library microfiche 'examination' of smugglers-motions pre-deed of making a bank-swap and roadways chase with (Ion-company) minions seeking some treasure-insurance 'sully' languages for Earthling dictionaries (wow).

The roadways runner-game for Amlan/Raki captured the real bread/fruit of this Euro black-market misadventure for the two Ronin-of-Earth, and they evaded the leviathan-claws of the underworld blood-diamond smugglers Ion-company hellmouths and pleased Ms. Endymion before promising each other they'd seek some retirement languages for capitalism-race 'chess' darkness (Facebook-like!).
