Blue AuditionA Story by Abishai100Narrated presentation of what made an iconic college-basketball 'program' a hallmark for American media storyboard-impression(s).
A 'fan-diorama' of Duke basketball (presented in narrative) to cast the media-age of capitalism-ethos defense(s) as social/human reflections and re-presentation of 'choreographed' expressions of competition access journals, inspired by Blue Chips (Nick Nolte).

==== I moved to America from the East when I was young and lived in Philadelphia and fell in love with television, zoning-out to the grand ballroom of cartoons/serials/cinema airing on Friday-nights after a week's worth of difficult schoolwork (wow). That set the foundation for my teen-years fanfare of an iconic American college men's basketball team/program which many believe is the media-era's equivalent of the iconic John Wooden era of UCLA gold-champions basketball --- the 'famous' Duke Blue Devils, winner of 5 national championships, countless ACC titles, and almost 'consistent' regular-season #1 ranking position laurels. Coached by the 'famous' Coach-K, the Blue Devils (Duke) became a 'national standard' for my generation growing up to embrace what would become the hallmark of the modern era --- media-centric 'chess' of traffic-hospitality minded 'folk' storytelling for commerce-life Ego (hmm). It's a 'game' in the end, but Duke set a standard for excellence in broadcast competitive entertainment/sports at the college-level that its fans, from all around the United States, consider is a 'diamond' for cheer-captains of the 'capitalist race' Ego (wow). Sure, Coach-K boasted about 'boosting' his Duke Blue Devils team in the late 1980s before finally getting to the championship game in 1990, when it was 'destroyed' by then-hot UNLV. However, Coach-K 'stormed' back in 1991 and avenged the loss to UNLV in the title-game, and then repeated a champions'-run in 1992, a back-to-back championship laurel. This is what made me a Duke fan and converted many media-broadcast era 'naysayers' who claimed TV-sports was simply not as 'social' as attendance in the arenas/stadiums. You need not be a Duke student/alumni to appreciate what made Coach-K's hallmark team of the modern age a 'toast' for American pride --- media intelligence. I'd worked with blood-diamond infiltrations-intelligence work (Interpol-relation) after graduating from the Ivy-league and had become a 'James Bond' character in the real-world and performed daring securities-swaps for conflict-zone highways insurance-corruption 'journals' in the global gem marketplace in the post-9/11 era. It effectively made me a 'Captain America' of diamond-chess insurance, and this patriotic fervor for commerce-life Ego defense reminded me of my teen-years cheering for Duke. It's what made me a 'cheer-captain' of the Blue Devils' signature of media-era 'excellence' in American beauty. My name's Amlan Satan, and now that I've retired from James Bond work, I watch replays of the iconic whopping 5 Duke national titles on social media and YouTube, and I recount my fanfare-days as a teen in Coach-K's 'marvelous' 1991-1992 repeat titles and then cheering the Blue Devils in the new millennium for their next 3 titles (2001, 2010, 2015). Each victory was pronounced and in different fashion. Sure, the Duke-Kentucky 1992 NCAA regional-finals tourney game (pre-championship trophy!) during Coach-K's 1991-1992 repeat-performance, is considered to be the greatest college-sports game of all time, but the countless other laurels the Blue Devils earned between 1991-2015, including countless regular-season ACC titles, in a conference touted to be the most competitive, set the 'media-standard' for the 'count' of media-age college-athletics journalism/fanfare reflecting a social-media/Selfie culture 'lens' of 'personality' driven Ego-patriotism (for fans like me and 'countless' others...just like me!). JOURNAL: Access to media-windows offers the chance(s) of American investments/interests in domain richness or defense(s). What is it about capitalism 'theory' that promotes a special and even 'magical' eye for the designs/aesthetics of competition-chess and commerce-life Ego optimism? We all 'cheer' capitalism during Xmas-consumerism, and we all cheer capitalism when we honor the memory of 9/11 and the tragic loss of the globalism-commerce symbolic World Trade Center, but we 'equally' (arguably) cheer capitalism in everyday-life when we find sportsmanship 'diadems' (like Duke broadcast sports and social media!) that re-present our 'human' fondness for storyboards about 'personality' driven 'American' teamwork (ha). “If music be the food of love, play on, Give me excess of it that, surfeiting" (Shakespeare, Twelfth Night). When we think of the modern stories and plays and theatrics and media messages and social conversation(s) surrounding the 'power(s)' of media in casting democracy as a living organic system of exchange and intelligence, we may think of the 'social media' buzz surrounding the touted chess-rivalry between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky during the 'hot' Cold-War (USA-USSR). We may think of the media 'spotlight(s)' of the controversial but 'electric' petrol-politics Gulf War of the 1990s. We may think of a movie like Michael Mann's The Insider (Russell Crowe), adapted from a real-life capitalism intrigue tale about a corporate 'insider' with revelations about company-production corruption secrecy and its impact on consumerism/journalism/media, when we 'dream' to think that media-access to college-level sports (i.e., Duke basketball) reflects an American Homeland 'investment' in the chess-securities of democratic commerce-life Ego dialogue about the 'quality' of safety. "How do you cause people to believe in an imagined order such as Christianity, democracy, or capitalism? First, you never admit that the order is imagined" (Yuval Noah Harari). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2023 Abishai100 |
