An homage to baseball-cards and sports-fanfare inspired by Mr. Destiny (Michael Caine). Thanks for reading,

I've been collecting Reds cards, and my two favorite cards are the Barry Larkin and Mariano Duncan cards, drawn from the World Series winning 1990s squad, and I post about the cards/teams for Facebook-response(s)!

DIARY: I consider my cards/treasures of the American athletics aesthetic(s) a reflection of real capitalism, worth tales.

The Mariano Duncan card reminds me of the flowery of a special baby-doll, something evoking in me the special imagination about the thick color of red itself.

The Barry Larkin (Reds) card reminds me of a more 'unusual' looking/foreign doll, since the Topps card of the Larkin card, of a player from an iconic World Series team, feels other-worldly, if you're a fan of American treasure-lore.

Since 9/11, Americans feel more yearning about 'real' lore surrounding traffic and American imagination, and baseball-cards are about as good as anything else for a Catholic like me looking for 'democracy' prayers!

DIARY: Baseball is about the legends and about the lore of the strangeness/distance of greatness, and the access to tales.

So, if someone asked me (Facebook-IQ), what do I consider superior, the Duncan-Reds card or the Larkin-Reds card, or if the card-companies boasting the colors of either/both players (Score/Topps), highlights something really American, I'd have to say it's the 'deed' of collection that makes American imagination feel closer than disaster(s).
