Saturn-Bias: The Ancient DrawingA Story by Abishai100A narrated portrait of sought/wrought ethos in modern civilization illuminating the challenged values of family-discretion.
A life-fable inspired by the inspirationally illuminating life-humility themes from the under-rated film The Muse (Sharon Stone) and referencing the tragic morality-tale of the ancient-demigod Saturn who ended up compromising personal ethos for the sake of public destiny. Thanks for reading,

==== I had a gloriously beautiful darling baby-boy son and named him Saturn, after the iconic ancient-avatar of tragedy/drama, a demigod who ended up having to devour his son for vanity. My name's Amlan Satan (aka, "Storm-Shadow"), and I work as a blood-diamond operationalist with Interpol-office(s) relations in British Columbia (North America) and Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) and use cyber-mosaics to create social-media commentary on post-9/11 era capitalism-monitors while operating as a vigilante for modern ideations of daring cinematic 'James Bond' work(s). When I met a beautiful woman in Sicily (Nicoletta) and married her and had my darling son (Saturn!) and thought about the 'emotion-sacrifice' that came with my piracy-gem monitor 'James Bond' work in Europe and North America, I realized what I'd need in my temp-Italian cottage with my bride was the iconic Saturn-painting of the demigod tragically devouring his son for vanity's sake, to remind me of the humility-joys of emotional bonds that just may transcend the worldly 'darkness' of seemingly insurmountable heavenly duties. That season, Sicilian soccer (Palermo, etc.) was in high-form (2009), and I thought about my darling-boy Saturn growing to become an 'avid-fan' of the Euro-sport which had graced high-fashions because of cable-TV access and why Earth-IQ had been likened to special/magical forms of storytelling daylight. Soccer is to Europe what folk-lore is to Americans (e.g., the Incredible Hulk, Citizen Kane, etc.) --- a 'high-art' rendition of lifestyle art. NICOLETTA: Are you going to insist that Saturn invests in soccer when older/wiser? ME: Well, I think he'd like the colored tales of ancient mythology comic-books/fables that will cast lights on heroics, no? I got this terrific Saturn-import car in Sicily while I was living there with Nicoletta/Saturn and I drove them around in it and used the cool rides to inspire in them special Catholic ideations of divine optimism regarding life in the modern world. I wanted them both to dream of the securities of Euro-life. NICOLETTA: I'd be just as happy if you got Saturn a special Lego-moonbase set for him to develop feelings of human fantasy! ME: Alright; I won't pressure in him soccer-fanfare and perhaps consider what your suggestions might give him --- liberty(?). Nicoletta and I spent hours walking around lovely-Sicily during sunsets, and she hoping I'd be quitting my 'James Bond' life to invest in the developmental life of our darling-son (Saturn). I realized that what I'd lacked in my life was a 'pure' sense of family imagination. I decided to retire and spent (ironically!) time with Facebook-IQ, something women really like it seems now. NICOLETTA: I got Saturn this awesome Xenomorph-alien robot action-figure toy from Amazon, darling. ME: Very thoughtful; perhaps he'll become an 'avid-fan' of sci-fi storyboards and develop more 'indoor' dexterity, no? NICOLETTA: Now you're being a 'real' father-figure, Satan! The lesson(s) learned here regarding 'real' human-life concern the humility of not neglecting what your family needs while you're 'busy' immersed in the social intrigue of worldly civilization. I don't want to end up like the tragic antihero-demigod Saturn, a 'super-man' who devoured his cherished son, but rather a man of simple...discretion(s). ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
