==== A strange alien spaceship landed in Chicago and parked itself underground and hid her spaceship using a special shrinking-invisibility cloaking power. On-board was a faraway female traveler named Endymion who'd been planning an Invasion-Earth blueprint for her alien monarch back on her home-planet. ![]() Chicago was under construction and going through post-Coronavirus restorations in the post-9/11 era, and three-year cop Amlan Satan ('Storm-Shadow') had been recognized as a decorated and successful American police officer with the keen-eye to put an end to all forms of anarchy so all good folks of the challenged city could go home in sanity and surf on Facebook safely. ![]() He'd been dating a special Internal Affairs executive, a very attractive West-Point graduate named Shelbye Harris who believed the best cops (Chicago) were those who put their intent forward and before their personal/private emotions. Amlan Satan found her smart and wild and inventive and gorgeous, but his best-friend, another policeman in the challenged Windy-City, also had an eye for her, and secretly, she liked them both. SHELBYE: Amlan and his 'bud' are close; but they're ironically very different in the mind; I'd turn them both onto Facebook. ![]() Amlan's best-bud in the CPD, Marcus Raki, is a cool customer and much more relentless in crime-analysis than his calmer pal Amlan. Marcus and Amlan are the two best officers on the Chicago force, and they worked together recently on a celebrity-case involving a gang-diamond extortion ring tied to Sierra Leone and wed to some pretty troubling magazine-world gem-exchanges ads-intrigue. ![]() AMLAN: Did you hear those new reports of that 'invisible' alien sighted/wandering in Chicago? MARCUS: Yeah...I read that in the supermarket (tabloids?); there's no proof yet (of course buddy), but it's intriguing. AMLAN: Maybe what this city needs is a 'cool' alien-dramatization of some kind; street-lore; Headless Horseman (ha). ![]() However, this 'cool' alien which landed in the spaceship and hid it underground before herself (indeed) wandering around the challenged Windy-City and being sighted by a few witnesses claiming things like, "She looked like a model from Mars!" had a specific Invasion-agenda evaluation mission. Ironically, she eyed Amlan and Marcus of the CPD equally during her research and became interested in them both. After luring them into the sewers, she showed them her spaceship and explained coolly, "My alien-king will challenge your mayor/president/professors in chess-play to determining sovereignty/exile IQ." Of course, CPD hard-noses (Amlan/Marcus) found the 'declaration' rather insulting/forward and began to question the integrity of her alien race. However, they secretly now both had a little crush on her, but vowed to keep this disclosure a temp-secret (hmmm). ![]() Two years later, with Endymion the female alien returned to her home-planet having gathered her necessary 'chess' notes about Chicago civilization (Earth!), Amlan/Marcus were no longer good friends. Amlan was now with a new girl and Marcus married Shelbye Harris. During the 'Endymion-affair' in the challenged Windy-City, Amlan/Marcus were trying to court Endymion the beautiful female-alien who seemed interested more in Amlan eventually. However, she liked Marcus too, despite the fact that the two cops differed greatly in their responses to her chess-report/invasion-IQ mission agenda and declarations. Amlan wanted to court her 'dare' of chess-play oriented diplomacy, while Marcus wanted to cajole her into defecting and killing her alien-monarch choreographing this Invasion 'dream' and stay on Earth with him as a politically-immune refugee. Endymion kissed Amlan in the end before her final departure, promising she'd not return unless this 'chess-blueprint' was verified by her planet government. Marcus and Shelbye, now married with a son, purchased a cool alien sci-fi/horror-adventure combat video-game (Xbox) so he'd grow up to think about the 'complexity' of human-city (Chicago!) diaries. That's an Earth tale, no? ![]() ENDYMION (Alien): If we do return for an intelligence-driven Invasion momentum, me thinks to see if Satan is still duty. ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
