Dollmaker: A Game of ShineA Story by Abishai100A self-made 'citizen-detective' is drawn into a crime-case of bloody-murder which may be a friend-prank, a dark turn, or perhaps...a 'faerie-tale.'
A crime 'faerie-tale' inspired by the unusual/provocative psyche-deed film The Game (David Fincher). Thanks for reading (signing off),

==== Amlan Satan was investigating a strange supermarket crime scene (bloody murder) and was inspired by his recent reading of a Hardy Boys comic book and suddenly felt like the citizen's 'private' investigation he'd been conducting began to take an eerie lifelike shape, pitting him as a 'character' in the dark tale! AMLAN SATAN: I knew Hardy Boys would move me, but suddenly/somehow I felt like I was inhabited by specters of crime-IQ! He'd grown up fascinated by Cyclonus, Cobra, and Cadmium comics, which is why (arguably/perhaps) he'd become 'drawn' by the strange magic of this crime-inquiry, but he didn't know that it was 'possible' that his friends were playing a 'natural-prank' on him, friends from Dartmouth. POLICEWOMAN: Don't get too close, Satan (Amlan); you can clearly see this bloody-murder scene requires absolute dash! AMLAN SATAN: You're beautiful! POLICEWOMAN: No time for joker(s) here, Satan (Amlan); take photos/notes, but don't rub-up against me, k? Satan suddenly 'thought' he was transformed into a faerie (winged tiny soaring humanoid of the forest, a mythical 'creature-human' with message of wisdom...or warning!). He envisioned he'd be the 'green-faerie' of envy or natural pride, a warning-messenger of crime's dark omens. However, he started to 'suspect' this was all an elaborate hoax, perhaps orchestrated by his old (college?) pals. Are faeries real (anyways)? GUARDIAN: You can see I'm staking-out the market-lot after the crime-'scene' since I 'believe' minions will return for evidence. AMLAN SATAN: You look like a comic book character! GUARDIAN: Don't get romantic here, Satan and just take notes like you informed (us); don't get in our way, and we'll smile! The crime-scene involved a fair lady in the United States, perhaps a waitress that Satan noted in an area/eatery by the market where the bloody murder took place and when he took his photos for his notes and journal-entries on his cyber-blog/'story' The Game, one of the 'participants' whispered to him, "We're all faeries here, Satan...it's going to be dandy for this secure country we call the West." GUARDIAN: I'm assigning you to follow around a visiting 'celebrity' who might be 'stalked' by the perpetrator(s) of this evil. AMLAN SATAN: I guess I can do that, but am I really a 'faerie' like y'all? GUARDIAN: Don't use that word lightly in crime-work(s), Amlan; you'll be fine; you're a fan of magazines and stuff, yeah. POLICEWOMAN: You need a break from all this backbreaking thought-work, Amlan; I'm taking you to a gypsy-circus camp. AMLAN SATAN: Wow, this is amazing! POLICEWOMAN: Keep your mind fixed on the task(s) at hand --- to take down the crime-syndicate. AMLAN SATAN: I guess I care deeply more about the West than ever before. POLICEWOMAN: Yeah, well, these 'faerie-gypsies' should keep your guesswork in tune with fine data! Amlan Satan resolved to convert/translate this heavenly crime (bloody-murder IQ!) adventure into a divine cyber-novel adapted from his previous work The Game. In this venture, he'd explore those 'veiled' nuances between dark evil(s) and the 'heroic' mind...a translation of American/Western (Catholic?) visions of valor blended or 'hybridized' with a 'sense' of colloquial daring, dash, democracy, and (perhaps)...dotted-lines (of damsels). AMLAN SATAN: What makes me a real 'faerie' of the United States...perhaps distance(s)? ==== "Money is everything" (Ecclesiastes) © 2022 Abishai100 |
