Strider/Fornicus: The Stats Debate

Strider/Fornicus: The Stats Debate

A Story by Abishai100
"

Two deep thinkers converge in neon Reno (Nevada) to evaluate the connection(s) between statistics...and detention.

"
An intellectual look at the complicated 'links' between capitalism-imagination and stats/statistics deviance-control. Inspired by Brewster's Millions. Enjoy,

Strider had been a wandering capitalist-philosopher and diamond-pirate working with Interpol-relation agencies to undermine corrupt baron-smuggling operations involving blood-diamond traffic into North America used to finance terrorism. Now, Strider's in the neon-city of casino Reno (Nevada, USA), where he's thinking and arguably 'daydreaming' about the 'stats' or 'statistics' of regular fortune ebbs-and-flows and its relevance to modern capitalism consciousness and gaming theories. Strider is however about to engage with an Earth warlock in Reno, a master-mind of underworld crimes named Fornicus, who insists that stats or statistics don't reveal anything but distortions and hence must be 'wrenched' with aggressive passion. Who will win this argument --- the pragmatist-pirate (Strider) or the underworld warlock (Fornicus) in modern Reno?

Strider was a pupil of the old-world classical philosophy of empirical imagination. He liked applying standard statistical models to the understanding of asset flow and hijacking and its impact on supply-demand economics/capitalism in realms like, as mentioned, blood-diamond inflation in North America. Fornicus, meanwhile, insisted that more passionate or radical or even 'absurdist' forms of stats-deviations created a more thorough view on the unpredictability of asset dynamics and money-flow. Fornicus was, after all, a master-mind of deviance imagination! Now, the stage was set in the neon-modern city of Reno (Nevada, USA) for these two experts in human intelligence to robustly debate about the 'face' of capital dance.

STRIDER: We've learned from statistical-analysis that asset motion prediction can be like a bell!
FORNICUS: Well, you can't substitute cold numbers for the chaos of living profiteerism, Stider.
STRIDER: Understood well, sir, but you must concede that statistics ('stats') offers 'arrows' of design.
FORNICUS: Design?
STRIDER: Sure; if you look at the impact of blood-diamonds on clean-gem value, you find stats of inflation!
FORNICUS: So what?
STRIDER: The general 'magic' of stats is that they offer us windows into the nature of capitalism intellect.
FORNICUS: Intellect?
STRIDER: Sure; the stats of inflation-deflation in markets with hybridized goods reveals population controls!
FORNICUS: So what?
STRIDER: Without a 'box-car' design for population behavior analysis, you can't learn how stats reveals diagonals.
FORNICUS: Diagonals, Strider?
STRIDER: Right; there're 'diagonals' in the motion of goods proportionate to supply-demand branding or franchising.
FORNICUS: This suggests there're discreet 'franchises' for clean-gems as opposed to blood-gems or terrorism-gems!
STRIDER: Exactly; it's almost like a system of rising helium-boxes of balloons of capitalism denominations.
FORNICUS: Sounds like religion, Strider.
STRIDER: What's wrong with that, sir?
FORNICUS: Religion may preclude or bar us from the imagination of regularized digits!
STRIDER: Wow, you must be referring to the 'certainty' of colored profits.

STRIDER: Let's look at the Braves baseball-star Sid Bream.
FORNICUS: Why?
STRIDER: Here's a non-superstar star in baseball who statistically proves reliable!
FORNICUS: So?
STRIDER: We might consider him as a 'standard box-car model' for statistical predictability!
FORNICUS: So, he's a dependable but not shining athlete, but it doesn't say much about deviation.
STRIDER: You're right, but Sid Bream reminds us why stats reveals regular 'shapes' of behavioral direction.
FORNICUS: You're a 'fitness dog' of sorts, Strider!

The warlock Fornicus conceded to Strider that he'd become a serious-thinker in the dominion of statistical consciousness regarding capitalism consciousness and piracy controls in the modern world. Strider, meanwhile, came to respect the complex warlock Fornicus in Reno as a deep-thinking man of colors and darkness. This was an argument really about the geometry and ergonomics or 'fitness' of behavioral imagination, but who's to say if stats can show us the way out of the 'hell' of anti-capitalism depression (e.g., Enron)? Will America emerge ultimately as the 'captain' of stats-demos? Will American companies 'gambling' in modern capitalism-diagonals like Apple and Enron create new windows into the 'soul' of civilization dangers?
